Nice food but……. Went on a Sunday evening. Food was lovely but staff hovered over us all the time, no sooner had the last mouthful of food been eaten ( or sometimes before the last mouthful) the staff were clearing away. Not a relaxing meal, we had eaten all three courses in a hour

Great fish and views The restaurant is on the marina so offers lovely views in the window tables. They get fresh fish each day so the menu changes and you use a QR code to get the fish menu. Excellent service. My barrimundi was really good.

Lovely wedding lunch. Visited here with family after getting married. Food was amazing. Service and staff friendly and prompt. Lovely atmosphere and very accommodating. Would definitely come back. It’s my second visit and couldn’t fault it.

Spanish spot on the Marina. We hadn’t booked but got a table at 7.00pm on a Wednesday,but it was very busy. Very sunny evening and seated with sun beating through window so a little warm! Service throughout was excellent. Menu and drinks menu came immediately and once drinks ordered they came straight away. We both chose from the set menu meatballs and calimari to start and lamb and fish of the day as main. All excellent. I was watching the food coming from the chef and it was being prepared quickly and as soon as he rang the bell , someone went to take it to the table. Loved the Canarian potatoes rather than chips! Apparently for a Wednesday evening it wasn’t too busy, but almost every table was taken! Deffo book if you can as it’s understandably very popular. Cheers to the very helpful and attentive staff.

FAST FOOD My wife and I had a table booked for 6.15 pm and arrived slightly early and we seated at 6.12 pm. By 6.34, we had received our drinks, Stater, Sharer, and Main meal. When we challenged this we were told that this was their system. They did offer to take the mains away, but our evening had been spoiled by then. The food is great and I hope the restaurant improves on their service. Our bill number was 48962 and the restaurant has CCTV, so if the management wants to review our service I am sure they will see how quickly we were served.

Family birthday meal Lovely evening meal. Restaurant was very busy as was fathers day. Service wasn't fast but there were delays ordering and getting food/drinks but nothing terrible. Food quality very good. All of our party extremely happy with quality and quality. Two of us had set menu and two from a la carte. I think it was reasonable value and will return.

Druk en eten is ok We waren er op Vaderdag. Veel gezinnen en erg druk. Atmosfeer had van ons iets rustiger gemogen. Vriendelijke bediening probeerde er het beste van te maken. Evenals de keuken. Het eten was redelijk maar niet top. Locatie aan de haven is leuk.

Vegan review Despite a two course deal being offered the only option actually marked up on the menu as vegan (vg) was the cauliflower steak, needless to say this dish was absolutely delicious, it was also a big portion which is something you don’t always get these days! There were no starters marked as ‘vg’ however the waitress assured me that all of the starters labelled vegetarian ’v’ were actually vegan. This did seem a little strange as dishes further on down the menu were deliberately labelled with either v and vg, maybe an updated menu is required. I also had an awkward encounter with the waitress who assured me the dish containing sardines was actually vegan…. 🧐 Despite this confusion my meal was faultless! Paprika chips were a very welcomed addition. The lads I ate with had the lamb parcels and there were no complaints. Be reassured that as a vegan the menu is very limited however what is offered is of the highest standard!Had the menu been a bit more straight forward this would have undoubtedly been a 5* review

Great food - would go back but not on a sunny evening! We found the restaurant busy, but service was generally good with three different staff attending to us ...and only the third remembering the jug of table water we asked for with our drinks order.We ate sea bass with two different sauces, Welsh Lamb and a steak. Everyone was happy with the food and a two course meal including dessert for £17.95, although the fish specials are higher priced. El Pescador have a nice chilled fish counter so that you can see what is available from today's catch and I'd recommend the sea food on offer.The ambience was good but there was one complaint. The restaurant faces West onto the South Dock and so receives full sunshine at 5-8pm on a sunny evening. Probably great if the windows were opened or had blinds or even if the air conditioning was on. Unfortunately two of our group were blinded and roasted by the sun due to their sitting position - there was nowhere in the shade to move to and no blinds to pull down. I know it rains a lot in Swansea but it also has sunny days like in Spain. The lack of shading was brought to the attention of our server Terry, who said he'd pass it on to the Manager. I hate being negative about somewhere that serves great food but this issue needs to be addressed before I would go back in the summer evenings.

Rainy Swansea night We were staying close by at the Marriot and we’re looking for somewhere close by on a rainy Swansea evening and came across the El Pescador .Even on a rainy Thursday night the restaurant was very busy , and we can see why - great food , lots of choices on both the food and wine menus .Service was just a little slow as they had a few large tables , but well worth the short wait .Will be back !!
